After two years at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, STRATEGUS has completed its outgoing phase and started its twelve-month return phase at the University of Verona.
The outgoing phase, from October 2023 to September 2025, provided the project with new expertise and collaborations in cyber-physical systems, real-time systems, control, scheduling, and optimization. The return phase brings this experience back to Verona and combines it with the manufacturing expertise, infrastructure, and industrial collaborations of the ICE Laboratory.
The final year of STRATEGUS will focus on consolidating the project’s research results, integrating its scheduling and digital-twin technologies, and continuing their validation on realistic manufacturing systems.
This transition also marks an important step in the three-way transfer of knowledge between the researcher, UNC, and UNIVR that has been central to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Fellowship.
